Marvel Rivals Season 2 is almost here, and it is set to continue the game’s storyline, following Doom’s journey and introducing new characters. Thankfully, we have some teasers as to who those characters are set to be, as well as some general leaks about the season’s story and battle pass.

Here is a full breakdown of the new season and what you can expect, including its release date.
‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 release date
Marvel Rivals Season 2’s release date is set for April 11, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC. Season 2 Part 2 will launch six weeks after this, around May 23, 2025, or May 30, 2025.
The season should last around 12 weeks, or three months, as Season 1 did.
‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 characters
It is widely understood that Marvel Rivals Season 2 will feature Blade and Emma Frost as new characters. Blade will likely be the first new character, with Emma Frost arriving in the mid-season update.
Blade is already in the game, found in the Central Park map after being captured by Dracula, so he could easily be freed. His abilities haven’t leaked in full, but it appears that he will be a Duelist and that he will have his katana and a hunting shotgun. It is also believed that he will be able to power up into a vampire form.
Emma Frost’s abilities have leaked in more detail. She is a Vanguard, only the second female Vanguard in the game. She will be able to switch between her basic form and Diamond Form, likely able to block attacks and reduce incoming damage. She also has the ability to connect players together, although the benefit of doing so is yet to be discovered. Finally, she has some typical Vanguard-like abilities, including a piercing spike and a slam in Diamond Form.

‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 story
The Marvel Rivals Season 2 story will see Doom attend the Hellfire Gala, according to leaks and teases in-game. This is a well-known celebration within Marvel where mutants gather, explaining both Emma Frost and Blade’s inclusion.
