The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter are making their way stateside. The iconic London punk band has announced its first North American tour since 2003, which spans across the U.S. and Canada.
Carter joins the Sex Pistols’ Paul Cook, Steve Jones, and Glen Matlock. They’ll perform the band’s debut and sole 1977 album, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols, as well as other classics, in celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary. Carter, a modern-day punk star (who’s been part of groups like Gallows, Pure Love and Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes), joined the iconic band for its U.K. performances last year.
The 2025 tour kicks off on Sept. 16 at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas, Texas. The venue has a significant backstory: the Sex Pistols had a chaotic performance there during their short-lived American tour in January 1978. In conjunction with the tour news, the Dallas concert was also released today on limited-edition white vinyl as Live in the U.S.A. 1978. It is part of a special edition colored vinyl collection (red, white and blue, of course) before the trio is made available in a three-CD set and for digital download in April. Other concerts in the collection include Atlanta’s Great South East Music Hall (the red vinyl was released Feb. 28) and San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom (the blue vinyl is arriving April 25).
The Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter’s tour is currently scheduled to conclude Oct. 16 at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles. The band will hit cities like Washington, Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Montreal, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis, Denver, Seattle, and San Francisco. Additional tour dates will be announced later.
The pre-sale will run from April 1-3, with general tickets going on sale April 4 at 10 a.m. local time. More ticket information can be found here.
