Brooker shared the QR code on X earlier this morning (March 27), with no caption.

Scanning the code takes you to a Google form titled “DON’T SETTLE FOR REALITY.” The form reads: “Something big is coming and you can be a part of it, in a way few ever will.”

“Join TCKR Systems and Streamberry for an exclusive evening to experience your life, but better – on Tuesday 8th April in London.”

“Register your interest below. Space is limited. Don’t get left behind.”

At the bottom of the form is the logo for Streamberry, the fictional Netflix-esque streaming platform featured in season six episodes Joan Is Awful and Loch Henry.

Brooker’s often dystopian, sci-fi anthology show returns to Netflix for its seventh season on April 10. The cast for the new run of episodes includes Peter Capaldi, Rashida Jones, Emma Corrin, Issa Rae, Paul Giamatti, Chris O’ Dowd, Cristin Milioti and Awkwafina.

A full trailer was released for season seven on March 13. It shared snippets of the six new episodes, one of which is a sequel to season four’s Star Trek-inspired USS Callister.

It also includes glimpses at a black-and-white historical story, featuring Rae and Corrin; Capaldi’s character talking about “mind expansion”; AI versions of people; Jones as a collapsing schoolteacher delivering a cereal commercial; the return of Bandersnatch’s Will Poulter to the series; and more.

Black Mirror’s sixth season arrived on Netflix to mostly positive reviews, with critics describing it as “thrilling” and as “scathing and sadistic as ever”. Read NME’s post-watch guide to that season – including trivia, set secrets and more – here.

The anthology show was originally launched on Channel 4, where it stayed for two seasons. Brooker recently revealed that the network effectively “cancelled” the series in his new book, Inside Black Mirror, which prompted the move to Netflix for its third season in 2016.
