What 3 things does anyone starting in your industry need to know?
I’d say knowing yourself is the biggest thing you should figure out—the sooner, the better. Second, know your audience. Who are you making the music for? Lastly, know your goals. Are you doing it for the money or clout? Whatever the reason, just do that. These three factors are major when getting started as an artist.
What would you do differently if you were starting in your industry now?
I’d put more focus on my solo career and be more consistent.
Which people or books have had the most influence on your growth and why?
I’m not sure if any books have influenced my growth, but my rap peers always knew how to turn me up. It took me a while to find my sound, but they always told me to have more energy and “snap for them bandz.” Eventually, I got good at it.
What has been your biggest success story? Why do you think it was a success?
Career-wise, my most successful venture was doing the underground showcase in Miami back in 2023. It gave me a glimpse of performing out of town in front of complete strangers, and I met some dope artists too.
Aside from that, an even bigger success story was my 2024 run. I dropped two 5-song EPs and five hard singles where I displayed my new sound, which paved the way for my style today.
What keeps you going when things get tough in the music industry?
It’s my passion for the music mixed with wanting to make my people proud. I don’t always feel like being an artist, but knowing there are people waiting for me to put out good music keeps me coming back.
The fact that my music is motivational and something most people can relate to—or at least enjoy—makes me want to be the best artist I can be.
What made you pursue being an artist full-time?
Something just clicked. I always heard the best way to make money is by doing something you love. Once I gained confidence and found my style, I knew I had to stay consistent so one day I’d be widely known for making good music.
Would you sign to a label?
Yeah, I would. It’s something I see myself doing in the near future. The music is there for me; I just need more resources to connect with the people who can take everything to the next level. It’s good now, but I know it can be even better.
What projects are you working on for the rest of 2025?
Right now, I’m waiting for my first album, Poetry In Motion, dropping February 1st on all platforms—so be on the lookout for that! I’ve also got a few more ideas for projects, including working with more artists from Ohio, traveling, shooting videos, and investing in my craft. It’s well overdue.
