This year’s awards will take place at The O2 in London on Saturday March 1, and broadcast exclusively on ITV1 and ITVX. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall has been announced as the returning  host, making it his fifth time presenting the ceremony after doing so in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

This year, Charli XCX leads the way with the most nominations, receiving nods in five categories including Artist Of The Year, Pop Act and Dance Act. Her collaboration with Billie Eilish, ‘Guess’, is also up for Song Of The Year, while her ‘BRAT’ record – which inspired BRAT Summer – is shortlisted for Mastercard Album Of The Year.

Close on her heels are Dua Lipa, The Last Dinner Party and Ezra Collective, who are each up for four awards. Myles Smith has received nods in three categories, although he was previously announced as the winner of the 2025 Rising Star award, meaning he could potentially leave with four trophies on the night.

Another notable inclusions are The Cure, who have received their first BRIT nominations in over three decades thanks to the critically-acclaimed album ‘Songs Of A Lost World’ – their long-awaited first LP since 2008. On the night, Robert Smith and co. have the chance to win in the Album Of The Year, Group Of The Year and Alt/Rock Act categories.

The Beatles have also been shortlisted for the Song Of The Year with Mastercard thanks to their “final” track ‘Now And Then’. Created by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, the single was the last to include all members and used AI technology to restore previous recordings featuring George Harrison and John Lennon.

The nod makes it the band’s first BRITs nomination since 1977 – the same year that the awards were first launched.

Winners in the Producer Of The Year and Songwriter Of The Year categories are set to be announced at a later date.

Back in November the new trophy design was revealed ahead of the 2025 ceremony. created by Gabriel Moses. It was created by Gabriel Moses, an acclaimed British-Nigerian multi-disciplinary artist, who has collaborated with the likes of Skepta, Little Simz, Burberry and more throughout the years.

The 2024 instalment of The BRITs saw RAYE win in six out of the seven categories she was nominated in, breaking the record for the most trophies taken home in a single night. Prior to then, no artist had won more than four BRITs in any one year, with Adele, Harry Styles and Blur each hitting that milestone.

In one of her acceptance speeches, RAYE called on music executives to allow songwriters to receive royalty payments. “It doesn’t have to be at your expense, but it just means that if the songs win big, then the writers get to win big too. Please allow that to happen. Please, please, please,” she said.

Other winners on the night included Dua Lipa, Calvin Harris, Miley Cyrus, Bring Me The Horizon, Chase & Status, Jungle, Boygenius, The Last Dinner Party and SZA. The ceremony at The O2 also saw live performances from Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, RAYE, Becky Hill, Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, Ellie Goulding, Rema, Tate McRae and Jungle.
