While attending the Paris premiere of the film this past Wednesday (January 15), Chalamet stopped on the red carpet to take photos and sign autographs for fans. One fan stood out as she was holding a vinyl pressing of Sivan’s third album, 2023’s ‘Something to Give Each Other’.

Chalamet took a moment to laugh, have his friend take a quick photo of him holding the vinyl and proceeded to autograph it as “Troye Sivan”.

Back in 2023, the Call Me By Your Name actor appeared as a host on and episode of Saturday Night Live. During one of the sketches, Chalamet acted as a sleep demon in the form of Sivan.

“I’m an Australian YouTube twink turned indie pop star, and model turned HBO actor Troye Sivan played by an American actor who can’t do an Australian accent,” he joked. Chalamet also called Sivan a “moisturised Machine Gun Kelly”

Chalamet then performed the choreography from Sivan’s song ‘Got Me Started’, which ends with Chalamet pulling his pants down and revealing his bright red underwear.

Sivan went on to share his reaction to actor parodying him on the late-night live sketch comedy variety show. The ‘Got Me Started’ singer shared a TikTok video reacting to Chalamet’s parody, saying: “The only way I can describe this is, it’s like a weird fucking dream. Like imagine… Timothée Chalamet was in my dream, but he was me, and he was wearing my clothes.”

In a four-star review of A Complete Unknown, NME‘s Alex Flood shared: “If you’re a Bob newbie, you’ll leave the cinema ready to dive into his back catalogue. If you’re already a fan, the next few weeks will be spent making playlists of lesser-known B-sides or reading the lore around a scene you weren’t familiar with. And that’s why it was a good idea to make this film – a mad idea, but a good one.”

Speaking about transforming into the iconic singer Bob Dylan for his role, Chalamet told NME: “I had the time to put the 10,000 hours in which in a three-month, four-month period you really can’t… There wasn’t a deadline on it. I wasn’t learning for anyone else. I was learning for myself.”

Elsewhere, Chalamet was recently fined for riding a LimeBike into the UK premiere of A Complete Unknown.
