Last night (January 16), Central Cee dropped the track soon after first teasing it earlier in the day. The song is due to feature on Cench’s highly anticipated debut album, ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’, which is set for release on January 24 via Columbia Records and available for pre-order and pre-saving on digital streaming platforms.
On the track, Central Cee and 21 Savage trade sharp and witty verses that spotlight their respective styles and the differences between UK drill and US trap rap flows – though 21 was born in London but raised in Atlanta.
Cee raps about never straying from the streets while 21 echoes that he’s always ready to throw down if things get messy. Cench raps “If I pay a man a hundred thousand pounds, I could get man bun right in front of a crowd/That’s GBP” before 21 jumps in: “The price go up if it’s USD/Better watch your words, I’ll get you X’d ’bout the shit you tweet/I told lil’ bro if it’s personal, he better jump out and do it on feet“.

‘GBP’ is the third and final song to be previewed from ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’ ahead of its release next week. When the album was announced in November, it was confirmed that his May 2024 single ‘BAND4BAND’ featuring Lil Baby would appear on the album. Later, a new single ‘gen z luv’ was shared in the build-up to the album’s release.

He’s not really a newcomer – but his debut studio album, ‘Can’t Rush Greatness’, will still feel like a grand arrival.”
