Today, Belarusian post-punk trio Molchat Doma have unveiled Live at Panorama Hotel, a three-song performance video that serves as both a celebration and a throwback. Released alongside their new album Belaya Polosa, the live session was filmed at Slovakia’s striking Soviet-era Panorama Hotel—the very building immortalized on the cover of their 2018 breakthrough album, Etazhi.
As the band’s first official live release, this performance captures the essence of Molchat Doma’s magnetic stage presence, recorded last year during a European tour packed with sold-out shows. Their stark minimalism and coldwave cool seem tailor-made for the Panorama’s angular architecture, bringing a fresh spin to a bit of Brutalist Eastern Bloc nostalgia. Call it a celebration, a revival, or simply a sharp nod to their roots—it’s a release worth digging into.
Known for their Soviet-era darkwave flair, Molchat Doma breathe chilly new life into fan favorites with Live at Panorama Hotel. Featuring Toska and Sudno from Etazhi and Chernye Cvety from Belaya Polosa, the recording captures the trio’s stark intensity with a dash of live rawness.
Alina Pasok’s black-and-white video matches the mood perfectly—shot against a snowy Slovakian backdrop with the imposing Panorama Hotel standing sentinel, the setting is as much a character as the band itself. It’s a poetic full-circle moment for the Belarusian trio, with the Panorama reprising its Etazhi album cover cameo. This performance pairs icy elegance with Molchat Doma’s signature minimalist sound, weaving nostalgia with a sharp modern edge. Whether you’re here for the snow, the sound, or simply the Slovakian scenery, this release offers an unmissable snapshot of the band’s journey, framed by their frosty yet ferocious spirit.
“When we released Etazhi in 2018, we joked that for its 10th anniversary, we would play a live show at the Panorama Hotel,” says the band. “Well, we’re happy it happened sooner than planned.”

Live at Panorama Hotel by Molchat Doma
Tomorrow, Molchat Doma sets off on a North American tour in support of Belaya Polosa. The album marks a bold evolution, capturing the struggles of difficult times while paying homage to the digital pulse of the ’90s. A technicolor twist on their signature somber dancefloor anthems, it draws inspiration from Depeche Mode, The Cure, Talk Talk, and more. Belaya Polosa finds the band venturing into new territory, balancing sleek, shimmering production with their trademark cold, minimalist delivery. The basement grime and dirty tape-head aesthetic of their earlier work make way for polished digital textures, creating a sound both nostalgic and fresh.
