The second season of the global phenomenon debuted on December 26, and according to Netflix’s own figures the show broke the record for the highest premiere for a show on their service with over 68million views during the first three days of release.
A screengrab has been shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), that shows a camera operator in black with a camera on their shoulder. Fans have responded to the mistake, with one asking “How does stuff like this go unnoticed?”

Others made a joke of the gaffe, with one speculating that it was character The Frontman.
Elsewhere, some have compared it to mistakes in HBO show Game of Thrones, which made headlines for having coffee cups and water bottles in shot. The coffee cup in particular drew criticism, with HBO digitally removing it from further broadcasts and Emilia Clarke jokingly accusing co-star Liam Cunningham of leaving it there.

Despite the error, season two of Squid Game has been a success with fans and critics alike. Lee Jung-jae returned as Gi-hun, the winner of the previous game now looking to find those responsible for the horrendous trauma he witnessed.
In NME’s four-star review, Nick Levine described the finale in particular as “breathlessly exciting and chokingly emotional”, while praising the “gripping new games” and players with “compelling backstories”. The review concluded “you’ll be left gasping as Squid Game gets its tentacles around you and squeezes hard”.
While season three may be the finale of the show, David Fincher is overseeing an English-language spin-off. Meanwhile, a recent publicity stunt for the current season went comically awry.
