While on the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes earlier today (January 6), Grande revealed that “an attachment” to her 2024 record ‘Eternal Sunshine’ “does exist”, though she isn’t sure when it will be released.

When asked if new music is “something she’s thinking about”, Grande shared: “It’s not something I’m thinking about but you know, there’s something I made last year that will come out eventually. It’s an attachment of ‘Eternal Sunshine’, so that does exist and that will be coming out at some point. But no, I’m not in the studio at the moment.”

The “attachment of ‘Eternal Sunshine’” is not to be confused with the ‘Slightly Deluxe’ edition of the record that arrived in March last year. It consisted of four additional tracks that weren’t on the standard issue of the album, and included a Troye Sivan feature.

In a four-star review of ‘Eternal Sunshine’, Nick Levine wrote for NME: “On the one hand, ‘Eternal Sunshine’ is a spacey but relatable break-up album defined by its emotional maturity. “We both know I couldn’t change you – I guess you could say the same,” she sings on the title track. On the other, it’s the most sophisticated project yet from a preternaturally talented vocalist who keeps getting better. Whatever you take away from it, ‘Eternal Sunshine’ definitely isn’t an album you’ll want to wipe from memory.”

Elsewhere at the Golden Globes 2025, Ariana Grande lost out on winning the trophy for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her role in Wicked. Zoe Saldana instead took home the Golden Globe for her role in Emilia Pérez. Grande will star in the Wicked sequel Wicked: For Good, due for release later this year.
