The drama – which also stars Sarah Lancashire, Andrew Buchanan, Omari Douglas, Kathryn Hunter and Sam Troughton – was released earlier this month and received a near perfect score from critics.
Ahead of its debut, Netflix also confirmed that a second season would go ahead. Now, a short clip of Knightley and Whishaw teasing the new series has been shared.
In the clip, which you can view below Knightley, who plays Helen Webb in the drama, wishes Whishaw (Sam Young) a Merry Christmas before toasting the show’s first series.
“Don’t forget season two, darling,” Whishaw reminds her before they both drop bullets in their glasses of champagne.

The show, created by Joe Barton (Giri/Haji), finds Knightley playing the wife of the UK Defence Secretary who learns that her secret identity as a spy is in danger when her lover is killed in an incident involving London’s criminal underworld – it has since earned a Rotten Tomatoes score of 97 per cent.
Meanwhile, Black Doves writer Joe Barton recently teased that Helen Webb will be “pulled deeper into the world of spies” in season two as her husband Wallace’s career leads to 10 Downing Street.
“Just seeing the tension of that, seeing Sam back in London… I would like to see more Eleanor Williams, Kai-Ming, all those people,” Barton told Tudum when asked about the second season. “I’d like to start to throw them up against one another again, and maybe make things more dangerous and challenging for them.”
Elsewhere, Knightley recently impressed Cher when she covered ‘Believe’ with her teeth on The Graham Norton Show.
She also spoke out about her experiences of working on the Pirates Of The Caribbean films and also ruled out appearing in any future movies in the franchise.
