A spray of light
A candy bar
A paint in harness
Ashes alive
Following the release of Another Heaven via Italians Do It Better, Berlin-based Curses unveils a striking new video for the spellbinding album track H2SG—a title that murmurs softly with its Princely abbreviation of “how to say goodbye.”
This bittersweet song wrestles with impermanence, where beauty flickers and fades like a breath on glass. Identities shift, fragile as a chameleon’s colours, while light and sweetness dissolve into ashes, the line between vitality and decay drawn with an aching finality. Here, goodbye is both spoken and swallowed: an elegy wrapped in restraint.
“H2SG is a song very close to my heart,” says Curses’ Luca Venezia. “One of the most vulnerable ones off the album. its about grief, patience, undying love, they did a lovely and delicate job portraying these emotions visually.”
Will Clark’s film gives form to this fleeting sorrow: a glorious sequence of fractured visions. Renaissance-style framing shows Venezia peering through the fog of abstraction – blocks of flowers encased in frost, red silk acting as a portal between worlds; muted echoes of Wings of Desire hover in silver air. Frames blur between surreal and sublime, as if reality itself were unraveling. Together, Curses and Clark conjure a parting that hangs weightless—strange, beautiful, and as elusive as the moments we fail to hold.
“Will Clark hit me up on Instagram about doing a video together for a song off the new album, loved his work and what Jamón have been doing but we were deep in the middle of a 22-date concert tour, so it was a proper puzzle and hustle figuring out when and how to shoot it,” says Venezia. “Will had this great idea to shoot on 16mm in Brighton’s Saltdean Cliffs. We…shot the performance shots out in the blistering cold in-between soundcheck and stage time. Will and Jamón team really pulled out all the stops, from epic set design – freezing flowers into giant blocks of ice, swan feather angel wings, and draped silk fabrics, everything moved very smoothly from start to finish.
“The day Another Heaven dropped I was twiddling my thumbs wanting to make something, I had an old 400ft roll of film at the back of the fridge and loved the sound so messaged Luca saying we gotta make a vid,” adds Clark. “With trust he was in and told me about H2SG, a beautiful tune. I turned what I heard into some imagery then we gathered the nearest and dearest and shot the vid very shortly after. It was true collaboration from all and a very rewarding process.”

Another Heaven, out now via Italians Do It Better, brims with Curses’ signature ghostly guitars and spectral vocals. Beyond this release, Curses’ extensive catalog features works on Permanent Vacation, Bordello A Parigi, Oráculo Records, and Wrong Era. Curating the NEXT WAVE ACID PUNX vinyl series for Belgian label N.E.W.S., Curses pays homage to underground sounds—spotlighting New Beat, early EBM, post-punk, and obscure Italo. With a deep reverence for music’s forgotten corners, this series has earned global acclaim, celebrating the hidden histories that still pulse beneath the surface.
