The pop legend took to her official Instagram account today (December 16) to share a video of her and Price working in a studio with Madonna singing, playing keys and writing notes in a notebook. Price is seen reacting to the singer’s work while producing and dancing around.
The video clip also features appearances from Madonna’s manager Guy Oseary and her daughter Mercy James. The post is soundtracked to PAWSA and The Adventures of Stevie V’s ‘Dirty Cash’.
“Working on new music with Stuart Price. These past few months have been medicine for my SOUL. Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission.. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025!,” read the caption of the post.
This is not the first time the ‘Holiday’ singer has confirmed that she was back in the studio with the producer. Back in October, Madge revealed she was with Price in London working on new tracks.
Madonna has been working with the hit producer for over two decades now, with him most widely recognised for his contributions to her hit 2005 album ‘Confessions On A Dance Floor’. Since then he has gone on to work with her on three of her tours, and recently reconnected with her last year as part of her acclaimed ‘Celebration’ shows.
If 2025 sees a new album from the ‘Hung Up’ hitmaker, it will mark her first LP since 2019’s ‘Madame X‘.
Since her 14th record was shared, the singer has gone on to embark on a huge world tour, celebrating the hits from throughout her career. The UK dates of her ‘Celebration’ tour featured multiple sold-out stops at The O2 in London – which were given a five-star review by NME. It described the opening gig as showcasing “a series of spectacular set-pieces referencing iconic highlights from Madonna’s reign”.

The tour also marked Madonna working with Stuart Price again. Around the time of the two reconnecting, Price said: “When she announced the greatest hits tour I called her just to say, ‘Congratulations, I think this is a great idea.’ And she said, ‘I was just thinking about you, and I thought you’d be the perfect person to work with on this’,” (via The Sun).
In other news, A new documentary about Madonna – titled Becoming Madonna – is set to bring a “fresh perspective on an enduring icon”, according to a statement from Sky.
As per Deadline, Sky has green lit a feature that will “chart Madonna’s rise to become the biggest female pop icon in history” via rare footage, unseen photos and “intimate interviews with family, friends and collaborators – some of whom have never spoken in a documentary before.”
Elsewhere, MUNA’s Katie Gavin recently played a stripped-back acoustic cover of Madonna’s ‘Like A Prayer’.
