According to the fan-led ModernWarzone X account and datamined information, a new weapon that also doubles up as a bong will be released in the near future.

Sharing a clip of the new gun, they wrote: “Soon you’ll be able to smoke a bong (your gun) in Call Of Duty.”

“16 year old me would’ve thought this was the coolest thing ever,” wrote one player. “35 year old me still does,” replied another. “Somehow I am surprised it took this long to add a bong gun to Call Of Duty,” wrote a third.

However, some fans are annoyed that Black Ops 6 has been cracking down on “toxic” behaviour using voice chat but is fine making money from drug culture. “Imagine banning people for swearing etc but promoting using drugs,” wrote one player.

“You are literally murdering people in this game. If legal drug use gets you upset you gotta just not play the game,” replied another. “Blowing peoples’ heads off with a shotgun is fine, but I draw the line at marijuana use,” said another.  “So, some players feel that the presence of a bong gun in Call Of Duty means that they should be allowed to abuse other players,” asked a third fan.

Black Ops 6 was released in October and gave Call Of Duty its biggest ever launch. However a number of fans weren’t happy about “unrealistic” animal skins like the “Bloke Biter” which turns your highly trained soldier into a giant shark.

Developers also banned over 19,000 cheats in the first week of ranked play and promised to make “hourly sweeps” to keep the game fair. “These bad guys are not just some script kiddies poking around with code they found online. They are a collective who profit from exploiting the hard work of game developers across the industry,” they explained.

In other news, a documentary about an attempt to stage a version of Shakespeare play Hamlet in Grand Theft Auto is getting rave reviews.
