‘Bloodborne’ fans think 30th anniversary PlayStation video hints at a new project

Bloodborne fans have been hoping and praying for a sequel, remaster, or even just a 60fps patch on PlayStation 5 for years now, and their hopes have been rekindled by the 30th anniversary PlayStation video.

As reported by PC Gamer, the 30th anniversary video posted by PlayStation teased Bloodborne fans. Throughout the video, the phrase “it’s about” followed by a word was used. Creativity, passion, fear, action, and more were all used and paired with iconic PlayStation games that exemplified the trait mentioned.

The final clip, however, showed the hunter from Bloodborne facing off against the Cleric Beast alongside the phrase “it’s about persistence.”

PlayStation barely acknowledges Bloodborne‘s existence, so it’s quite surprising that it gave it the coveted final spot in this compilation trailer. Saying “it’s about persistence” is the cherry on the cake, as it seems like Sony is giving players a wink that they just need to wait a little longer for some more Bloodborne action.

Additionally, Bloodborne is going offline for maintenance today, December 3, and we’re not sure why. Some people are hoping it means there will be a PS5 upgrade, but it could just be to make sure the servers are safe.

Bloodborne director Hidetaka Miyazaki knows how badly fans want to dive back into the gothic world of Yharnam in the form of a remake, but he’s also said he’ll get in trouble if he says he wants a PC port for the game.

In recent years, Sony has made a habit of porting its biggest games over to PC, so it isn’t out of the question for Bloodborne to join the ranks sometime soon.

In other news, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone have teased a crossover with Netflix show Squid Game.
