Ticket prices for Ed Sheeran’s historic Bhutan concert set at $10 upwards

Ticket prices for Ed Sheeran‘s historic Bhutan gig next year have been revealed to start at $10.

Last month, the ‘Shape Of You’ hitmaker announced extra dates for his ‘Mathematics’ tour for 2025, which included shows in India, Qatar and Bahrain. Next January’s gig at Changlimithang Stadium marks a first for Bhutan, as the country has never played host to an international artist before.

Per Time Out, tickets are selling for as low as $10, with higher tiers ranging from $30 to up to $101. Although the tickets are cheap, international visitors will be required to pay Bhutan’s Sustainable Development Fee, which is set at $100 a day and contributes to Bhutan’s environmental conservation and community development initiatives.

Sheeran’s mammoth tour began back in April 2022 in Dublin, and the musician has already confirmed that it is due to conclude with a run of European shows from May to September 2025, finishing in Dusseldorf on September 7. Find a full list of those European dates here.

Sheeran will also play his first show in Qatar in over ten years, and will return to Bahrain, having played in that country earlier in 2024. See the full list of his 2025 tour dates below.

Tickets for the India dates go on sale on December 11, while for Qatar and Bahrain, they are on sale from December 6. More information is available on Sheeran’s site here.

JANUARY 2025 
24 – Thimphu, Bhutan, Changlimithang Stadium 
30 – Pune, India, Yash Lawns 

FEBRUARY 2025 
2 – Hyderabad, India, Ramoji Film City 
5 – Chennai, India, YMCA Ground 
8 – Bengaluru, India, NICE Grounds 
12 – Shillong, India, JN Stadium 
15 – Delhi, India, Leisure Valley Ground 

APRIL 2025 
30 – Doha, Qatar, Lusail Multipurpose Hall 

MAY 2025 
2 – Sakhir, Bahrain, Beyon Al Dana Amphitheatre 

According to a press release, the shows on the 2025 tour will employ “specially developed mobile digital ticketing technology” to ensure fans are buying genuine tickets. “Ed and his team have a strict stance against anyone using unofficial secondary ticketing sites to try and stop fans being exploited when trying to buy tickets for his shows,” it said.

Earlier this year, a tout who sold Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga tickets by buying and reselling at an “industrial scale” was sentenced to four years in prison.

Sheeran’s promoter Stuart Galbraith said at the time, that the verdict was “good news for live music fans, who are too often ripped off and exploited by greedy ticket touts”.

In other Sheeran news, he has been outspoken about his involvement in the new ‘Ultimate Mix’ of the Band Aid charity single ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’He said he would have declined the use of his vocals on the new version if asked, arguing that “my understanding of the narrative associated with this has changed”.

In response, Band Aid organiser Bob Geldof has rigorously defended the song, arguing, “this little pop song has kept millions of people alive”.
