Post Malone has confirmed details of his “Murder Circus” collab with Hunt: Showdown 1896.

Hunt: Showdown 1896 is an extraction shooter that sees players take on the role of a supernatural bounty hunter, tasked with tracking down “twisted monsters” while avoiding other bloodthirsty players.
Last week, Post Malone revealed he was a huge fan of Hunt: Showdown. “It’s the best game. My buddy got me into it. I’ve had the game for the better half of this last year. Whenever I’m on the road and I can’t play, I’m missing it. I’ve probably got 400 hours on it.”
“I love how it’s based and grounded in reality,” he added. “Very quick time to kill, you can body someone in one shot. The guns are so sick.”
And now, Post Malone has confirmed details of a “first-of-its-kind” collab with the game. Post Malone’s Murder Circus is the “largest event yet” in Hunt: Showdown 1896 and will feature a “unique blend of gothic horror and surreal carnival corruption.”
“In this exclusive collaboration, iconic musician and Hunt: Showdown 1896 fan, Post Malone steps into the role of the Deposed King, leading a twisted carnival corrupted by the dark power of the HelioStone,” reads the announcement.
“The circus, once a beloved spectacle, now harbors monstrous horrors like the terrifying Ursa Mortis, a savage bear created from the corruption of two conjoined orphaned cubs who were once beloved by the circus. This monstrous creature now stalks the grounds, ready to devour anything that crosses its path.”
Post Malone’s Murder Circus event will introduce a number of new hunter skins and weapons to the game. A firm release date hasn’t been announced but the event will start “soon”, say developers.
In other news, Juice WRLD’s mum has said an upcoming Fortnite concert is an “incredible tribute” to the late musician. The in-game event takes place this weekend and will also feature Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice and Eminem.
