Black Ops 6 Ranked Play was introduced last week and allows players to take part in competitive matches to increase their standings in the world rankings. There are also a number of unique rewards on offer.
However, some players have been known to cheat by using things like aim-assist bots and tools that allow them to see through walls and abuse the in-game map.
Taking to social media, Activision Blizzard shared a positive update about its anti-cheat software Ricochet, claiming over 19,000 accounts have already been banned from Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6. “AI systems continue to ramp up with code optimizations to accelerate enforcements. Hourly sweeps to remove cheaters from the Ranked Play mode and leaderboard,” they added.

However a number of players aren’t convinced. “This is year 4 of yall saying the SAME THING. Just admit Ricochet DOESN’T WORK,” wrote one disgruntled fan. “Don’t believe a single word of this,” said another.
Before Black Ops 6 was launched, Call Of Duty confirmed that it sees cheats as “anything that gives a player an unfair advantage in-game by using nefarious software” as well as things like account sharing.
“The number one thing both we and you care about is not losing another match to a cheater,” said developers. “A lot has been put into Black Ops 6 to upgrade security, but here is the goal we’re targeting: we want to catch and remove cheaters within one hour of them being in their first match.”
The people behind cheats are organised, illegal groups that pick apart every piece of data within our games to look for some way to make cheating possible. These bad guys are not just some script kiddies poking around with code they found online. They are a collective who profit from exploiting the hard work of game developers across the industry,” they continued.
Despite the cheats, Black Ops 6 has continued to break Call Of Duty records. In its first 30 days, it saw the most matches and hours played as well as the most gamers log-on.
