Juice WRLD’s mum has said an upcoming Fortnite concert is an “incredible tribute” to the late musician.

Juice WRLD, real name Jarad Higgins, was just 21-years-old when he passed away from an overdose in 2019. Across two albums, two mixtapes and a number of singles, the musician built a legacy that’s only continued to grow since his death. This weekend, third and final posthumous album ‘The Party Never Ends’ is due to be released and to celebrate, Fortnite is hosting a virtual concert.
The gig, which will also close out Fortnite’s Chapter 2 Remix event, is set to take place Saturday November 30 at 6pm GMT. It will “connect dreamscapes from Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WRLD” and feature Snoop Dogg’s new single ‘Another Part Of Me (Ft. Sting)’ as well as the world premiere of new Juice WRLD track ‘Empty Out Your Pockets’.
Ahead of the gig, fans have also been able to claim a number of Juice WRLD-inspired items and tracks.

Speaking about the collaboration, Juice WRLD’s mom Carmela Wallace said: “Jarad always loved to play Fortnite – it was more than just entertainment for him, it was a way to connect with others.
“From a young age, video games were a part of how he bonded with friends and family, and being in Fortnite is an incredible tribute to that connection. I know he would be overjoyed to see how his love for games continues to bring people together across different spaces, just like his music does.”
Following Juice WRLD’s death, Wallace opened the Live Free 999 organisation in his honour. She explained that the charity’s aim is “really to just normalise the conversation around mental health”, and “take the stigma away from” seeking help for mental illness.
In other news, Baldur’s Gate 3 has confirmed the final major update will be released in 2025 as developers move onto new projects.
