‘Traitors’ live experience set to come to London next year

A live playable experience version of The Traitors is coming to London in spring 2025.

An official version of the award-winning BBC reality show will allow members of the public to have a go at the game for themselves in London’s West End.

According to the official website, players will “be immersed in a world of strategy, deception, and drama, playing alongside others in a real-time version of the game” and is “designed to capture the same intrigue, alliances, and suspense in an action-packed live game”.

“I am extremely excited for The Traitors: Live Experience to open in London next year,” said host Claudia Winkleman. “I can’t wait for players to immerse themselves in their own drama, strategy and deception. They’ll love the game and should definitely expect twists. Please can you add an evil cackle here?”

Presale access and event information can be found on the official website. Tickets go on sale early next year and start at £29.50 per person.

Last week, the show launched an official Christmas jumper ahead of the festive season.

Elsewhere, a celebrity version of The Traitors was recently announced and the regular format of the show will return for a fourth season.

Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the reality series sees contestants compete for a prize fund worth up to £120,000 at a castle in the Scottish Highlands.

As they arrive at the castle, a small number are selected to be ‘Traitors’ who have to eliminate the ‘Faithful’ contestants to claim the prize. However, if the latter manage to work out and banish the deceitful contestants through daily roundtable meetings, they win the cash prize instead.

There have been two seasons of the show broadcast so far, and the previously-commissioned third season is expected to land in early 2025.

Season two saw winner Harry Clark take home £95,150 following a dramatic season finale. Clark, who shared the winnings with his family and friends, later revealed that he suffered from sleep deprivation due to the show’s relentless filming schedule.

Elsewhere, Ricky Gervais recently denied reports that he will be making an appearance in the celebrity edition of The Traitors.
