TV On The Radio played a surprise show in New York’s intimate TV Eye venue on Sunday (November 24) – check out footage below.

It is only the band’s second show since 2019, with the previous being another unexpected set in their home city at Max Fish on September 4.
The band played tracks from across their career, from ‘Satellite’ and ‘Young Liars’ from their 2003 debut EP ‘Young Liars’, up to ‘Could You’ from 2014’s ‘Seeds’, their last major release.

Tonight (November 25), TV On The Radio kick off their reunion tour in New York’s Webster Hall, the first of four dates at the venue, before heading to Los Angeles for three nights in December and London’s Islington Assembly Hall for another three shows. The band have just re-released their debut album ‘Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes’, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary. The reissue includes five bonus tracks, amongst them the unreleased song ‘Dry Drunk Emperor’.
That album included their classic track ‘Staring At The Sun’, which they also recently performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, their first television appearance since 2013.
In addition to the upcoming shows, the band will also perform at Primavera Sound in Barcelona next summer, and support Khruangbin at their huge outdoor gig at London’s Gunnersbury Park.
Last month saw frontman Tunde Adebimpe share his debut solo single, ‘Magnetic’. It will appear on his forthcoming first album, which is due to arrive at some point next year via Sub Pop.
