Today we had an exclusive chance to interview aspiring rapper Sense100p:
What is your legal name and age?
Justin Tyler Gabriel.
What is your stage name and how did you come up with it?
Sense100p I came up with it cause I had just came back from Japan from serving on a carrier in Yokosuka Japan and I had watched a documentary talking about the music industry and how Master P made off big and with taken an interest I decided to the Japanese style master p… So it started off as Sensei P cause Sensei = Master and + the P and then I made that into Sense100p for keeping it 100 that was the evolution of my artist name…
Where are you from?
Portland, Oregon.
Where are you now?
Portland, Oregon.
Why did you first start making music?
I started off making music videos, an as my interest for music grew more on so then for videos cause I wanted to be the one with a voice and to have influence on others. I seen how the whole process worked from being around it but it wasn’t until I got my own equipment and Logic Pro X till would I understand what it took to create music… and a vibe.
Who would you say inspired you the most, as an artist?
As of right now YFN Lucci, Roy Woods, Gabriel Avrett, Wiz Khalifa, Young, Lupe Venzetti, Young Curt, Mac Dre, Safe, 2Pac, T Dot Tyme, Post Malone, Travis Scott, Pop Smoke, MyCrazyRO, Lil Wayne, Lil Peep, Lil Durk, KeloTheShow A Boogie Wit A Hoodie,, A$ap Rocky, Berner.
Talk me through your creative process.
Creative Process tends to be buying a beat from Jay Trill or some other source… or having my friend Kaden or myself make a beat using Daw program or via Soundtrap where you can take loops and create unique royalty free beats… that’s the process as of know before it was just grab the dopest beat off YouTube and try to record to it sounded dope over the beat…. But I like to listen to the beat on repeat and write on my iPhone in my notes or via pencil / Pen but I know I’m gonna always type it out so I can read it off my phone if I haven’t memorized it… I noticed I’m better at chorus cause there short and repetitive so I can kinda go off the brain when I do those for more natural sound, but for a few of my newer songs i acutely had my friend that’s a much better rapper then me record him rapping my part so then I could listen to it over and over to get the cadence down cause somewhere along the line I lack cadence and Rhythm…. It’s funny cause it put camp for the first week I was the guy who would get off beat when marching as a division.
