The second chapter of Arcane’s final season has arrived on Netflix – and fans are reeling over how it ended.

Inspired by the hugely popular video game League Of Legends, Arcane explores the backstory of two League heroes – sisters Vi (Hailee Steinfield) and Jinx (Ella Purnell).
The pair spent the first part of Arcane’s second season at odds with one another. But for Chapter Two, they had to work together to try and rescue their father Vander, whose consciousness was trapped in a monster called Warwick, by bringing him to the mage Viktor.
However things took a turn when scientist turned magician Jayce returned with a new weapon that he used to kill Viktor and his community of followers. This also unleashed the full power of Warwick, who set out on a rampage with Jinx very much in the firing line. That is until the mute Isha sacrificed herself to save the day in a scene that also showcased their close relationship with a series of flashbacks.
“That fucking ending. What the hell. Best episode of the season but I’m in tears,” wrote one fan, sharing a clip of the moving scene on social media.

“That fucking episode had me wanting to jump through the screen and fight them myself. I’m hoping they are baiting us with the cliffhanger but the quality of season two is insane, genuinely the best animated series I’ve ever seen. So sad it’s finished next week,” replied another fan. “Never in media has anything left me with this much tears…over a character that was there for four episodes,” said a third.
“I’m rocking back and forth in a dark room bc i was too in shock to turn the tv off while the credits were rolling,” wrote another fan.

The third and final part of Arcane season two will launch on Netflix later this week (November 23) and wrap up the show for good. However creators have said there are other stories set within the world of League Of Legends that they want to explore.
In other news, Half-Life 2 celebrated its 20th anniversary this weekend (November 16) with a bumper update that inspired a massive uptick in players.
