Linkin Park surprised fans at a recent show by bringing out Helmet’s Page Hamilton as a special guest – you can view footage of the moment below.

The gig took place at the Glove Life Field in Dallas, Texas on Friday night (November 8), as part of the band’s ongoing ‘From Zero’ world tour.
The dates come as Linkin Park announced their comeback album ‘From Zero’ earlier this year, which will be their first since the passing of frontman Chester Bennington and features Emily Armstrong as frontwoman. The record is set for release on Friday (November 15) and you can pre-order/pre-save here.
While on stage in Texas, the band broke out a huge 28-song setlist, and surprised fans by bringing out Helmet’s Page Hamilton for a surprise collaboration.
As Hamilton took to the stage, they duetted on the song ‘All For Nothing’ – a track that originally featured the singer and appeared on Linkin Park’s 2014 album ‘The Hunting Party’. Check out footage of the rendition below.
This wasn’t the first time that Hamilton joined Mike Shinoda and co. on stage. Previously, he appeared with the band in 2015 as part of the Music For Relief festival Relief Live!, and covered songs ‘Faint’ and ‘Bleed It Out’ with the line-up.
As for surprises at the recent Dallas show, the band caught fans off-guard once again by performing the debut of new single ‘Casualty’.
The song follows the previously released singles ‘Heavy Is The Crown’, ‘The Emptiness Machine’ and ‘Over Each Other’, and was introduced by Shinoda as a song that would trigger “the biggest pit you can”.
Linkin Park announced their comeback in September with a livestream event, where they revealed the addition of Emily Armstrong (formerly of Dead Sara) as their new co-vocalist. Drummer Colin Brittain joined the band too, following the departure of founding member Rob Bourdon. Founding guitarist Brad Delson is also absent from the group’s comeback tour, but is still working with them behind the scenes – including participating in the creation of new music.
Later, Shinoda opened up about the “culture” of the new Linkin Park line-up, saying it feels like the “best we’ve had”.
There was also controversy around Armstrong joining the line-up, as it emerged that she seemingly had ties to Scientology and convicted rapist Danny Masterson. Armstrong later issued a statement “to clear the air”.
While some fans were divided over the comeback following Bennington’s death, as the band started the live shows, Shinoda explained that this version of Linkin Park was “not about erasing the past”. “We are thrilled to be back out here… it is about starting this new chapter into the future, and coming out here for each and every one of you,” he said.
He also explained why Linkin Park chose to keep their band name for the relaunched line-up, and added that he is “not sure” if they will make new recordings of older songs that feature the late frontman.
Upon the comeback announcement, Bennington’s mother admitted she felt “betrayed” by the new line-up, and Bennington’s son Jaime echoed that sentiment too, having hit out at Shinoda for “betraying the trust” of Linkin Park fans. Bennington’s widow Talinda, however, has expressed her approval of Armstrong joining the band.
