Watch the Video for the Sensual Dark Pop of Normal Bias’ “Falling Down”

The first single from Kingdom Come, Normal Bias‘ debut LP, is everthing you’d expect: sensual—yet quirky—and entirely danceable.  As the duo of Matt Weiner (TWINS) and Chris C (Multiple Man), Normal Bias seem nearly unstoppable with their LP that was released in October as a follow up to their self-titled EP, one that favored a Cabaret Voltaire-style of industrial body funk with oddball accents that just workedKingdom Come is a refined offering that is fueled by impassioned melancholy pop underlined by its lush production.

“Falling Down” is driven by a chunky EBM bassline as vocalist Weiner begs for reprieve from his object of desire. “Sex, money, what do you want?” he asks, pleading underneath Chris’ tenacious synth parts. The music video (which is reminiscent, perhaps purposefully, of INXS‘ Kick album art) is a loop of Normal Bias in a stark white portal that may or may not ever stop moving. Adding to the anxiety of Weiner’s lyrics, their languor is palpable in the stark vastness of their own domain.
