Epic Partner Reyekun shared a post to X/Twitter which was quickly discussed over on Reddit. Some eagle-eyed Fortnite players have begun disecting the picture and believe they know what an upcoming season of the game will be about.

The image shows items with a rewind symbol on them and the words “Remix Chapter 2”, fuelling speculation that this season will have players revisiting past events from the game.

“Might be a stretch, but from the golden items it seems we might be getting yet another Midas,” wrote Careidina. Midas is a legendary outfit that players could unlock in Chapter 2 Season 2 by hitting level 100 on the battle pass.

Midas is considered a villain and is part of Fortnite‘s surprisingly complex background story. He attempted to use the storm that closes in on players during matches in order to escape the time loop that keeps everyone trapped and battling on the island.

Some players are looking forward to the idea of revisiting their favourite locations from past versions of Fortnite‘s main island. “Let me land at the grotto like during lockdown, i’ll never take anything for granted ever again,” wrote myoldaltwasfound.

Players are also wondering what this means for the future of the game. “I think if they’re changing the name from ‘OG’ to ‘Remix’ for these seasons there’s a good chance this will be a yearly thing since Chapter 3 and onward isn’t really all that OG so a name change makes sense,” explained Slyme-wizard.

In other news, Space Marine 2 players are frustrated at new balance changes, but the developers have promised to sort things out.
