Chase Stokes and Madelyn Cline lead action-adventure drama series Outer Banks.
Created by Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke, the series follows two groups of teenagers in search of a lost treasure in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

After the first three seasons released between 2020 and 2023, Netflix split the fourth season into two parts, with the first five episodes coming out October 10, 2024.

The remaining five episodes will be released November 7, 2024 on Netflix, roughly a month after the first part.
Has Outer Banks been renewed for season 5?
At the time of writing (October 15), Netflix has not announced whether the show will return, but the show’s creators have seemingly mapped out future seasons.
Speaking to Tudum, show co-creator Josh Pate said they planned season four as the start of a new trilogy following the first three seasons.
“We think about the first three [seasons] as a trilogy and then we’re starting over on [another sort of] trilogy now,” Pate said about the 18-month time jump at the end of season three. “We just needed to clear the decks.”

Chase Stokes and Rudy Pankow, who play John B. Routledge and JJ Maybank respectively, were both asked if season four is the last by Entertainment Tonight.
“I think our biggest thing has always been wanting to end the show on a high note,” Stokes replied. “And it’s not about how the plane takes off, it’s how you land it. I just want to make sure we do it justice and I want to make sure that when we do end, whenever that time comes that we end the show the right way.”
Pankow added: “I think there’s still messages to be told but at the same time, it comes down to the writers if they have a good base on how to tell those messages and I think they still do.”
