Zjhin: Plateau to the City

With roots stretching from the Tibetan Plateau, Zjhin, pronounced ‘gin’, is a 23-year-old independent Canadian rapper with something to prove.

Unphased by “acceptable” social norm this rap artist is determined to carve out his own identity through music. Being raised in Scarborough, Toronto, or better known as Scar Town, he was exposed to a multicultural environment that challenged his abilities to adapt. Conscious of being different to his peers, Zjhin finds escape from his troubles through his music.

Zjhin’s
rapping bounces freely between intricate wordplay and sullied melodies.
Early this year he release his adaptation of ‘Xanax Damage’ by Future
twisted with a darker overtone and rugged verse seemingly hexed from the
Book of the Dead.
Often self-labeled under Trip Hop, expect modern
trap sounds beneath tenacious harmonies, drawing on rappers like Travis
Scott and Young Thug.

Set to release his new song ‘Save Me’, expect an unexpected!
