Liam Gallagher has bid farewell to his live band at the last scheduled gig he’ll play as a solo artist before Oasis reunite next year.

The singer performed at his Liam Gallagher And Friends Malta Weekender on Sunday night (September 23) where he celebrated the end of this chapter of his career as a solo Gallagher brother.
Addressing the crowd, LG praised his band who had “been with us from the beginning”, and that “this is going to be our last show for a bit, massive respect”.
“And the beautiful girls,” he added, praising his trio of backing singers.

After a phenomenal seven year run, Liam Gallagher wrapped up his solo career last night at the Malta Weekender Festival.

Liam treated fans to a full set of Oasis tracks this weekend, which follows his show at Wembley stadium ahead of the Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois boxing match where he performed three Oasis songs from their seminal 1994 debut album ‘Definitely Maybe’.
However, he did face some backlash from fans over his vocals, to which he responded to online by stating: “You ain’t real fans, you’re just imposters.”

LG’s current live band includes Jason ‘Jay’ Mehler (formerly of Beady Eye) on guitar, Oasis’ Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs also on guitar, Drew McConnell on bass (also of Babyshambles) and Dan McDougall on drums.
Details surrounding who might be joining Liam and Noel Gallagher on their OASIS LIVE ’25 remain up in the air, though recent reports suggest Bonehead will be joining the reformed line-up following. There’s also a chance fans will see the return of some more original Oasis members.
Liam has also suggested that “there could be a few new faces” performing with Oasis as part of their 2025 reunion shows.
However, initial reports claimed “no other original Oasis member were expected to join the reunion”, and that the members of Noel’s High Flying Birds would be stepping in for the rest of the band.
The band are due to perform 19 reunion shows in total in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin next year, and plans for concerts outside of Europe are currently underway too.
