After a successful run this year, P1Harmony has returned with their 7th Mini-Album, “SAD SONG” on September 20. The Project consists of 7 tracks, each synonymous with the P1Harmony sound that fans love and expect from the group.
The album opens with the title track, ‘Sad Song’. Contrary to the name, this track is far from sad. With a bouncy, staccato piano rhythm guiding the song and a bright instrumental, Sad Song embodies all of what P1Harmony is known for. The song incorporates the unpredictable yet catchy flow of the rap-line mixed in with smooth delivery from the vocal-line.

The vibe slows down slightly with ‘It’s Alright,’ a more vocally focused song with pretty, complimentary melodies. The instrumental makes you feel like it really will be alright.
The third track on the album is ‘Last Call’, which is a guitar-led, chanty pop rock-esque track that reminds you of the early 2000s. The nostalgic feeling of the track brings forth memories of childhood and bands of that early rock era.
The group keeps the rock elements alive in ‘Welcome To’ but adds a more rebellious and dirtier guitar to it. The grunge-y textures in the verses blend well with the raps sections, but they bring in the soft vocal touch in the pre-chorus and bridge to add a nice contrast.
The next track on the project is ‘All You‘, a bouncy yet soft track reminiscent of a bright summer day topped with a cool breeze.
The album takes a full 180 with the next track, ‘Wasp’. Completely different from All You, Wasp is a full hip-hop, rap-heavy track. With a catchy repetitive hook and dark bassline, this song is bound to get stuck in your head.
The album closes with an English version of Sad Song, giving English-speaking P1ece, a treat!
