Victoria’s Secret is set to make a grand return with its fashion show on October 15 after a lengthy hiatus. On September 18, Tyla was announced as one of the headliners, joining the legendary Cher in what will be the brand’s first all-female lineup of musical performers.
Tyla expressed her excitement about the opportunity, stating, “Growing up, I was captivated by the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show — the stunning outfits, iconic wings, and charismatic models. Now, I’m thrilled to be performing on this nostalgic and legendary stage. The event will take place in Brooklyn, New York, featuring some of Victoria’s Secret’s most iconic models like Gigi Hadid, Tyra Banks, and Paloma Elsesser. The fashion show was last held in 2018 before being canceled in 2019 due to criticism over its lack of inclusivity and declining viewership.
In 2023, Doja Cat headlined “The Victoria’s Secret World Tour,” which was streamed on Amazon Prime. She made headlines for her bold fashion choices at the event.
Tyla has recently ventured into modeling and shared her thoughts on the experience: “I realized that if there’s a bad shot, we’ll get a good one. I’m more comfortable making mistakes.” She emphasized her active involvement in her artistic expression, stating that her sound and image are integral to her identity as an artist.
