The Red Bull BC One event, which has been running since 2004, will showcase the top 16 B-boys and B-girls from across the nation, all vying for the chance to represent the U.S. at the Red Bull BC One World Final in Rio de Janeiro in December. After a recent performance at the 2024 Summer Jam in New York, Method Man expressed his feelings about the changing landscape of hip-hop, stating, “Thanks again, New York and the whole tri-state… But never again… at this point the generation gap is just too wide for me.” This sentiment reflects the shift in audience demographics, as the lineup at Summer Jam included newer artists like Ice Spice and Doja Cat, who may not resonate with the same fans as Redman and Method Man.
