Coming September 18, The Haunting is an event in Call of Duty that celebrates Halloween and al things spooky and horrifying. Warzone‘s Rebirth Island map will get a scary lick of paint and appears to be infested with zombies and other spooky characters like killer clowns and Smile 2 characters.

The Haunting is a seasonal Call of Duty event that began in 2021. It changes some maps to a Halloween theme and adds new game modes. In the trailer for the latest iteration, it appears zombies will also be unleashed upon people playing Warzone and Modern Warfare 3.

Michael Myers first came to Call of Duty 10 years ago back when Ghosts was the main game to play. Now, if you want to unlock him as an operator, you’ll have to purchase the Season 6 battle pass. It costs 1,100 COD points, roughly £8.39.

Other operators include the scarecrow from Trick ‘R Treat, a three-headed version of Ghost, a possessed Makarov, and the clown from Terrifier.

Players seem excited about the upcoming The Haunting event. One tweeted, “this game mode is always fun,” alongside a GIF of Michael Myers giving a thumbs up. One reminisced, writing “I will say that DLC map with him as a kill streak in ghosts was eeeeelectric.” Another is excited for the prospect of seeing him being played with upcoming features in Black Ops 6. “Imagine seeing this fker in Black Ops 6 flying around with omni movement.”

Black Ops 6 is due to launch October 25, just in time for Halloween, and thanks to the beta we already know what the best guns to use are.

In other news, an Elden Ring patch has made the game’s final boss easier.
