In August, the Nashville singer-songwriter – real name Sophia Allison – announced her upcoming album ‘Evergreen’, marking her return after a two-year absence. The long-awaited follow-up to 2022’s ‘Sometimes, Forever’ arrives via Loma Vista Recordings on October 25. You can pre-order it here.

The newest single, an atmospheric ode to indecision and compromise, follows on from previous releases ‘M’ and ‘Lost’. After showcasing the latter on her recent US tour dates, she shared last month the track will be opening the new album.

The album was, per a press release, shaped by a “profound and also very personal loss”. Recorded in Atlanta’s Maze Studios alongside producer Ben H. Allen III (DeerhunterBelle & Sebastian), the heightened emotions resulted in a sound that aimed to be as true to the “raw and relatable” demos as possible, with the songwriting governing where the “production would follow”.

Soccer Mommy’s ‘Evergreen’ tracklisting is:

‘Lost’
‘M’
‘Driver’
‘Some Sunny Day’
‘Changes’
‘Abigail’
‘Thinking Of You’
‘Dreaming Of Falling’
‘Salt In Wound’
‘Anchor’
‘Evergreen’

Soccer Mommy has also today announced an international tour, including headline dates in the UK. Tickets are on general sale from 10 am on Friday, September 13. You can find tickets here.

Soccer Mommy’s 2025 UK headline tour dates are:

MAY
6  – Chalk, Brighton
7  – SWX, Bristol
8 – Hackney Church, London
9 – Project House, Leeds
13 – SWG3 TV Studio, Glasgow
14 – New Century Hall, Manchester

In a four-star review of her previous offering, ‘Sometimes, Forever’, NME wrote: “The combination of these intensely confessional lyrics and the musical exercises in mood and atmosphere lends the album a balance between control and catharsis.

“Whether she’s exorcising demons or shaking hands with them, Allison explores in ever more depth how to channel that most potently. The reductive tags that may have previously been assigned to Soccer Mommy – sad, chill, nostalgic – have no foothold here. This is nuanced, purposeful songwriting from an artist growing in power.”

More recently, Allison brought out Phoebe Bridgers at a gig at the Mason Lodge in Los Angeles in June for a cover of Elliott Smith’s ‘The Biggest Lie’.
