On Tuesday, August 27, Angel Reese, the rising WNBA star, announced her entry into the podcasting world with her new show titled Unapologetically Angel. The podcast is set to premiere on September 5, with new episodes released every Thursday.
Reese will co-host the podcast alongside Emmy Award winner Maya Reese, who, despite sharing the same last name, is not related to her. The duo aims to feature a diverse lineup of guests from various industries, including sports, music, entertainment, and business. “I really want to have guests across all different industries on the show,” Reese explained, expressing her intent to invite friends like Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, and Cardi B.
The podcast will serve as a platform for Reese to connect with fans and share insights into her life and career. She described it as an opportunity to present a different side of herself, stating, “I can’t wait to share a different side with listeners and have them come on this ride with me.”
Unapologetically Angel is part of Playmaker HQ, which also hosts other popular shows like Shaquille O’Neal’s The Big Podcast and Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s Roommates Show.
In addition to her podcast launch, Angel Reese recently debuted a collaboration with Reese’s candy, with the first of three exclusive drops occurring on August 21. The next release is anticipated to feature a custom jersey adorned with her No. 5.
