Manchester’s Reliquia has surfaced from the depths of the city’s underground music scene with their potent fusion of gothic rock, post-punk, darkwave, and metal. Co-founded by US-transplant Gregg Neville (Push Button Press, Golden Gardens) and lead guitarist Tobias Gray (The Machinist), the band’s lineup is completed by George Kal on guitars, Andy Lindley on bass, and Karim Nashar on drums. This quintet forges a unique sonic identity, drawing from the influences of The Sisters of Mercy, Fields of the Nephilim, and The Mission, while resonating with the heavy undertones of Katatonia, Paradise Lost, and My Dying Bride.
Today, Reliquia unveils their latest single, “Shallow,” a dark and brooding exploration of fractured relationships through a chilling lyrical narrative. The track delves into the decaying remnants of emotional bonds, rendered through unsettling imagery and haunting harmonies.
