The trio have recently been hinting at a reunion, with the girl group confirming they had a meeting with their former label head last June and teasing they had “good news” afterwards.
The girl group disbanded in 2016 following a year-long hiatus and the departure of member Minzy had left the group. Since then, their last song was 2017’s ‘Goodbye’.
Now, founder of YG Entertainment Yang Hyun Suk has published a video revealing that the group will reunite for a series of shows to celebrate their 15th anniversary.
Yang further revealed the tour will begin in Seoul this October, with 2NE1 set to arrive in Osaka in late November and then Tokyo in December. He also said the tour would continue throughout 2025, though no other locations were revealed.
Specific dates and venues are still to be announced.

2NE1 made their debut in 2009 under YG Entertainment, and later became one of the most successful second-generation K-pop acts. They released a slew of hits throughout their career, including ‘Fire’, ‘I Am The Best’, ‘Come Back Home’ and many others.
In an NME feature examining their legacy, we said: “Despite its name – or perhaps in spite of it – 2NE1’s final release ‘Goodbye’ wasn’t really a goodbye: at Coachella in 2022, CL reunited the group on-stage for the first time since 2015.
“The end that had been forced on 2NE1 didn’t mean an end for their story, and it has led to consistent reports of a potential reunion album or single whenever the members are spotted together. Hope springs eternal for 2NE1’s return to the spotlight, as their legacy continues eternally.”
