Meanwhile, BLACKPINK member Lisa has been announced as a co-headliner for Global Citizen Festival 2024.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Thai K-pop idol is set to perform as a co-headliner of the annual music festival, as announced by Global Citizen yesterday (July 9). She joins the likes of Post Malone, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and Rauw Alejandro, who were previously announced as co-headliners.
Lisa’s upcoming involvement at Global Citizen Festival 2024 will mark her first solo festival performance. “We look forward to welcoming Lisa, and of course Lilies and Blinks, to Central Park in September.” Katie Hill, Global Citizen’s SVP, said in a press statement.
“Lisa is not only an incredible performer, but also a powerful advocate, leveraging her voice and platform to drive action on some of the most urgent challenges our world is facing,” she added.
The news of her Global Citizen Festival debut comes shortly after the release of her latest solo single, ‘Rockstar’, marking her first solo project through both RCA Records and LLOUD, the latter of which is a label founded by the singer herself in February this year.
‘Rockstar’ is also Lisa’s first solo single since she made her solo debut with the single album ‘LALISA’ in September 2021, which included a title track of the same name and B-side ‘Money’. She also featured on Big Bang member Taeyang’s ‘Shoong!’ in April last year.
