Hackers have taken over Doja Cat‘s X (formerly Twitter) account and are attempting to ignite beef with Iggy Azalea.

Last night, Doja Cat’s X account began publishing posts about cryptocurrency under the ticket $DOJA. The posts also took a jab at fellow rapper Iggy Azalea, who has launched her own cryptocurrency $MOTHER. The hackers posted: “Fuck that stupid bitch [Iggy Azalea] and buy $DOJA”.
The attempt at igniting beef between the rappers was quickly smothered by Azalea, who posted: “Don’t buy this y’all. She’s hacked. Save your money, the market’s down as it is…”

In a separate post, Iggy Azalea wrote: “Get rugged if y’all want but I’m cool [with] that girl [in real life] so y’all fucked up [with] that tweet hackers.”

Doja Cat has since confirmed the hacking, writing on an Instagram Story: “My Twitter’s been hacked, these messages are not from me.”
Doja is now the latest artist to be hacked by crypto scammers. In late June, Metallica’s X account was similarly hacked by crypto scammers promoting $METAL. The scammer posted details about a scheme where users could exchange their METAL tokens for Metallica gig tickets and exclusive merch, including an Xbox game console supposedly signed by Metallica themselves.
On June 11, Doja Cat kicked off her European and UK tour, performing at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow. The gig scored a four-star review from Janessa Williams, who wrote for NME: “What you get from her is a seamless show trimmed of all the fat, one that aims to celebrate the lane of her own artistic satisfaction, unbothered by those who do not see her skill. When it’s working this well, why shouldn’t she do things her way?”
