The singer joined the electronic duo for a live performance of their 2013 collab track ‘Latch’ during their set at the Other stage. Sporting an all-black tracksuit and a beard, Smith appeared and took over the vocals for the track.

“So guys listen, about eight years ago we did another song on this stage. A song that I feel like some of you might want to hear. Anyone know what that song might be? It’s a song that changed our lives forever,” said Howard Laurence of the duo.

He continued: “It’s a bit of a deep cut. Oh and one more thing, will you please welcome Sam Smith on stage!”

Released on October 8, 2012, ‘Latch’ landed the Number 26 spot on the UK Singles Chart and peaked at Number 11. The track was a sleeper hit in the US, coming in at Number Seven on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in August 2014.

Elsewhere in their set, Disclosure performed a rendition of Faithless‘ ‘I Can’t Sleep’. Upon finishing the performance of the track, Guy Lawrence took to the mic to share a speech about UK dance music culture.

“Stop the track, one second, come on, I’ve got to talk to the people. Glastonbury, thank you so much. We’ve been Disclosure and that is going to live in our memories for the rest of time,” he said.

He continued: “We just want to say, this is our second time doing this slot but we would not be up here if it was not for bands like Faithless, people like Maxi Jazz, rest in peace, Orbital, The Chemical Brothers, The Prodigy, you name it, the UK has the best fucking dance music culture in the world and we hope you liked that little rendition.”
