Apple Music has continued to unveil its much-anticipated 100 Best Albums of all time: a celebratory list of the greatest records ever made, crafted by its team of experts alongside a select group of artists, including Maren Morris, Pharrell Williams, J Balvin, Charli XCX, Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, Honey Dijon, and Nia Archives, in addition to a further collection of songwriters, producers, and industry professionals.
The company has shared the selections that encompass numbers 90-81, which include releases from Lady Gaga, Nina Simone, Massive Attack, Mary J. Blige, Kacey Musgraves, 50 Cent, and more.
Gaga has landed at No.89 with The Fame Monster (Deluxe Edition). Simone clocks in at 88 with I Put a Spell on You. Massive Attack follow at No.87 with Blue Lines, and Mary J. Blige’s iconic My Life checks in at No.86. Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour arrives at 85, and 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ lands at 82. Other entries in the section include AC/DC, Snoop Dogg, Patti Smith, and Neil Young.
The list is an editorial statement and the team’s experts have stressed that its compilation is independent of any streaming numbers on Apple Music. It is designed as a love letter to the records that have shaped the world music lovers live and listen in.
