LE SSERAFIM has been caught up in some controversies lately with some of their live vocal performances that have left many fans disappointed. It started with encore performances on Korean music shows and continued to their recent Coachella performances, and it seems to have potentially changed the actual demographics of their most dedicated fans.

Looking at the gender and age demographics for the 2023 LE SSERAFIM Tour Concert, the majority of the fans that purchased tickets were male (58.4%) compared to female (41.6%), making about a 17% difference between the two.
Additionally, the age demographics were as follows: 10s at 26.6%, 20s at 44.2%, 30s at 19.6%, 40s at 8.1%, and 50s at 1.3%.
Later in the year, for their 2023 LE SSERAFIM FEARANDA S/S Fan Meeting, the demographics had shifted significantly, with the majority of their ticket buyers being female (55.8%) and minority male (44.2%), making a difference of about 12%.
Their most recent event demographics, though, showed an interesting switch compared to their previous fanmeeting. For the 2024 LE SSERAFIM FEARADA S/S Fan Meeting, the overwhelming majority of ticket buyers were male (67%) compared to female (33%), making a difference of 34%.
The age demographics changed quite a bit as well. Fans in their 10s decreased from 29.6% to 24.9%; those in their 20s also decreased significantly, from 51.2% to 38.1%; those in their 30s increased from 15% to 22.3%; in their 40s from 3.6% to 12.6%; and in their 50s, from 0.4% to 1.7%. So in short, they have more older male fans according to this data.
It’s hard to say what might have made such a significant change in the group’s fandom demographics over this time, though it’s possible their recent controversies might have played a role. What do you think caused these changes in LE SSERAFIM’s demographics?
