Rapsody connects with Erykah Badu at “3:AM” the latest single off her forthcoming album, Please Don’t Cry.

Over a glorious and jazzy instrumental helmed by S1, Lonestarrmuzik, and Marc Bridges, the NC lyricist pens an ode to her significant other intertwined with Badu’s angelic vocals.

“Make up, wake up / And spin the block again / It’s different when you lovers and best friends,” Rapsody raps. “I feel safe with you / The most vulnerable that I could be / Right around this time of the morning at 3 / Yeah, I love ya.”

“3:AM” proceeds “2:AM” featuring Ab-Soul and produced by Khrysis and 9th Wonder from her 2016 Crown EP.

Rapsody’s Please Don’t Cry album is penciled in for a May 17 and has already spawned the previous singles “Stand Tall” and the Hit-Boy-featured “Asteroids”.
