Her 2004 debut album reached the Number One spot on the UK charts upon its release. The album features hits such as ‘These Words’, ‘Single’, ‘Wild Horses’ and ‘I Bruise Easily’. It also features the song ‘Unwritten’ which recently enjoyed a resurgence after appearing in the Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell rom-com Anyone But You. It entered the charts for the first time in 19 years on January 12, peaking at Number 12 and still sitting in the Top 20.

‘Unwritten’ was released as the third single from the album. In 2006, the track became the theme song for MTV’s reality television series The Hills. It reached Number Five on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Bedingfield first Top Ten hit in the United States.

Commenting on the track’s resurgence, Bedingfield said: “I’ve had songs in movies before but this time I really love the way it’s been used in such a special way that it makes you feel joyful. People are actually singing it as they leave the theatre!

“Over the years ‘Unwritten’ has somehow become an anthem to sing at the top of your lungs. This makes me the happiest girl in the world as I have always felt that a good pop song is actually something you can belt. Like a good football song!”

The song earned Bedingfield a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance and Album Of The Year at the 49th Grammy Awards. It also went viral on TikTok following the release of Anyone But You.

‘Unwritten’ will be available for the first time on vinyl in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The special edition LP will come in a peach dream coloured vinyl. A standard black pressing will also be available. Both pressings come with a four-page booklet containing lyrics and a collage of images from the original CD release. The reissue is set for release on September 6. You can pre-order the vinyl here.
