Chronic is on a roll. The Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania native keeps on churning out new bangers and improving with every release; his newest single “Oh Well” is no different. Inspired by trailblazing experimentalists like Drake, Kid Cudi and A$AP Rocky, Chronic dipped into a more vulnerable side on this track.
“They taught me that it’s okay to talk about heartbreaks and being vulnerable,” Chronic explained. “They also taught me to be vulnerable about my dark thoughts and that it’s okay to express these emotions.”
“[Drake, Cudi and Rocky] all taught me to always think outside the box and always try to go beyond my limits,” he added.
The track’s production and engineering was handled by one of Chronic’s closest collaborators Tyshii, who also hails from the Philadelphia area.
“It’s good to have someone that’s around the way [who has] the same work ethic and passion as you do,” Chronic said.
As for his next moves, Chronic is devoting time to his fashion line Solitude, working on sweatshirts before it gets too warm outside. The music is still there though, don’t worry; Chronic is actively working on his next single and “staying ahead of the agenda,” meaning that this up and coming creator’s upward trajectory will continue for a long time to come.
