This is the group’s first appearance at the music festival and they will join a handful of K-Pop artists who have graced the stage at the massive event.

However, this performance is more meaningful to the group than some may realize. In particular, the group’s performance will fulfill one of Yunjin‘s biggest pre-debut worries!

Before LE SSERAFIM’s debut, the group appeared in the documentary The World Is My Oyster. The documentary showed the behind-the-scenes moments of their debut, including their formation and member selection.

Each member sat and discussed their journey to that point so far, with Yunjin talking about her love of the stage during the documentary’s third episode. The idol says that her dream of being a singer began around seventh grade and continued into high school, as seen in her pre-debut theater performances.

However, a lack of Asian representation in media in America made her doubt her dreams, causing her to not go on stage as much and focus on songwriting instead.

She said that through this, she learned instruments and how to tell her own story through song.

Now, with LE SSERAFIM making their first appearance at Coachella, one of the United States’ biggest music festivals that is broadcast throughout the country and worldwide, she has become the representation she was previously missing!
