Fans are furious with SM Entertainment for mistreating BoA.

On April 8, a post titled “Protest Truck Outside Of SM” went viral. In the post, a netizen uploaded several protest trucks that were sent to SM Entertainment’s building.

What was SM doing while BoA’s career, effort, and heart were being ripped apart? How can you call yourself family? Do family members only call you when they need something? You say she’s the best in the media, but you guys don’t do anything to respond to malicious commenters. Is this what 26 years of effort gets her? To be ignored by the label?

In the photos, the protest trucks are seen carrying fans’ discontent over how they handled malicious comments targeting BoA.

Is this tolerance towards 24 years of malicious comments? That’s 24 years of defamation targeting BoA! Stop using your artists and protect them. Wake up, SM! Report back after you have sued the malicious commenters.

Netizens reacted to the protest trucks, with many agreeing that SM Entertainment needed to be more proactive in responding to malicious commenters.

“SM needs to sue them, ㅠㅠ. Protect your artists.” “Sue them, please… If fans are this upset, imagine how BoA must feel.” “SM needs to release a statement.” “Seriously, please sue them…” “I really wish SM would sue everyone in a huge lawsuit.” “But didn’t SM release a statement they were suing after criticism over Marry My Husband? Or am I imagining it?” “I would be so upset if this happened to my idol. Hwaiting.”

What are your thoughts?
