Rapper Offset Surprises Baltimore High School Students with $30K Worth of Gifts and Groceries

Georgia-based rapper Offset made a surprise visit to Dunbar High School on Tuesday to commend students for their outstanding academic achievements and attendance, as reported by the Baltimore Police Department.

In collaboration with DTLR and LA Chow, the artist behind “Ric Flair Drip” generously provided $30,000 worth of groceries and gift cards to students and their families before his performance at the Filmore in Silver Spring. Persia Nicole, a personality from 92Q radio, also joined the event.

Offset also gave recognition to senior Caden Bowie, who reportedly received acceptance letters from over 40 colleges, according to The Shade Room.

This performance marks a milestone in Offset’s career as it’s part of his inaugural solo tour, “Set It Off,” following his departure from Migos, the renowned hip-hop trio consisting of himself, Quavo, and Takeoff, who tragically passed away in Houston in 2022.

The Shade Room shared a video on their Instagram account capturing Offset’s visit, wherein he was seen unloading bags of groceries from a truck before delighting students in an auditorium with his surprise appearance.
