Outside of the movie Single in Seoul, actor Lee Dong Wook hasn’t starred in any romance K-Dramas since 2020’s Tale of the Nine Tailed and 2019’s Touch Your Heart. The famous actor revealed why he’s been turning down roles for the genre.

Lee Dong Wook admitted he “sometimes” wanted to star in a romance. However, there was one thing stopping him.

Because there are so many genres and roles he hasn’t explored yet, Lee Dong Wook didn’t feel the need to return to romance.
But in the last three or four years? Maybe two or three years? I wasn’t interested in it.
