In the notoriously contentious waters of K-pop fandom, there are very few things that can bring a majority into agreement…but it is a truth universally (-ish) acknowledged that many of K-pop’s best gems lie hidden deep in album tracklists. Of course, if you get a group of K-pop fans together and drop the question “Who has the best collection of standout b-sides,” then you’re asking for pandemonium again! But in honor of the many b-side delights that serve as K-pop’s peacekeepers and secret weapons, I present a collection of some of my recent favorites—largely pulled from 2023-2024 releases, but with a few slightly older newly rediscovered tracks thrown in.
